Indian Head Massage

Based on an Ayurvedic system, this fantastic treatment is a favourite for many. Often, we hold tension in our shoulders and neck and our scalp feels tight and may give rise to headaches. This form of massage can alleviate these and has many other benefits.

I have done this massage with just a chair, in a busy hall at school fetes and despite the noise, you can see the person’s tension melt away in moments!

 

I start at the top, between and over your shoulder blades and then down each arm. Back to your neck and then up and over the scalp to release pressure and stress. As you eyes close and your shoulders drop, I work rhythmically over the head and around the temples. Gentle circular movements on specific points on the face help the sinuses and add to the sense of pampering. A moment or two back over the scalp and we are finished.

 

It is forty-five minutes of heavenly peace and relaxation
